Celebration Florida

The Town of Celebration Florida was built by the Celebration Company which is part of the Walt Disney Company. Many folks claim that Celebration Florida is the real “EPCOT” (experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow) where you can live, work, worship and play.

Celebration has churches, schools, a library, a hospital, restaurants, banks, a Publix grocery store along with a post office, stores, hotels and dentist and doctor’s offices.

Celebration has 4 Community Swimming pools, many parks and walking trails. It has 2 shopping areas, Water Tower Shoppes and Downtown (Market Street & Front Street).

The Downtown has a weekly Farmers Market, and lots of community events. It has “Snow Falling” between Thanksgiving and Christmas, “leaves” falling in the autumn, Old Fashion 4th of July Parade, Founders Day Celebration, Art shows, and Posh Pooch to name a few.

Celebration also has a Parks and Recreation Department that organizes activities for Young and Old. There are local clubs and Civic organizations to join and participate in. Celebration also has a community TV channel and the “Front Porch” (www.Celebration.fl.us.) an on-line place where residents meet and information on current events and lively forums are always happening.

Celebration has a number of distinct areas or villages.  Spring Lake (presently under construction) will be joining them.  The Villages are: North Village, Celebration Village, Acadia, West Village, East Village, South Village, Aquila Reserve, Artisan Park, Roseville Corner and Lake Evalyn.
